Following the weather warnings issued for this Tuesday, the Institute of Forestry and Nature Conservation decided to close all walking routes in Madeira for safety reasons.
“It is not advisable to drive in mountainous areas and forest areas while the alerts issued remain in force. It is also reported that the forestry path that connects Eira do Serrado and Pico do Areeiro will be closed”, added the IFCN.
