The rain forecast for this week will leave Madeira under a yellow warning.
According to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA), the warning comes into force at 3am on Friday, January 12th and runs until 6pm on Saturday, January 13th.
Covers the south coast of Madeira and mountainous regions.
A yellow warning was also issued for maritime unrest, between 00:00 on Friday and 03:00 on Saturday, due to waves that can reach 4 meters on the south coast.
