This is one of the biggest carnival parties, with a great atmosphere in the center of Câmara de Lobos.
The carnival entertainment is about to last and this time it is in the municipality of Câmara de Lobos that the procession will take place. Today, from 8:30 pm, the population will be able to see some troupes that, last Saturday, paraded in Funchal, as well as other projects from various institutions in the Region.
In total, 10 groups and 1,500 participants participate. Therefore, Malta do Furos, Turma do Funil, Associação Cultural Império da Ilha and Grupo CMCL + CACI Câmara de Lobos, Tramas e Enredos, Samba School ‘Os Cariocas’, Fitness Team, Associação de Animação Geringonça, are present in this procession. Batucada Association and Caneca Furada Samba School.
The procession route will begin on Avenida Nova Cidade (next to the public garden), passing through Praça da Autonomia, Largo de São Sebastião, Rua Padre Eduardo Clemente, Nunes Pereira, and ends at Rua da Carreira.
The revelry continues with the batucada animation and drum queens of the troupes, at the Câmara de Lobos terrace, but the fun extends to Largo do Poço, with a DJ performing until 3am.
To facilitate access, the Praça da Autonomia car park will be open 24 hours and can be used before the start of the parade until 7:15 pm, and vehicles can only be removed after the last group has passed.
