The Calheta waterfront will be closed between February 21st and 25th. The closure to traffic will take place, in particular, between the dock area and the sea jumping crane, also requiring the closure of all services on site.
Spaces such as the supermarket or the Calheta Beach hotel, the banking unit and Rádio Calheta, as well as the taxi rank, will remain inactive.
The intervention will be carried out by the Regional Government’s rock workers, as confirmed by the president of the Municipality, Carlos Teles, in statements to JM FM radio.
The mayor explains that the work aims to provide greater security to the area, focusing on prevention to avoid major problems.
