TAP plane bound for Madeira diverts to Las Palmas

A TAP plane, which left Porto, at 6:14 am this morning on February 14th, bound for Funchal, was unable to land at Madeira-Cristiano Ronaldo International Airport, having diverted to Las Palmas (Canary Islands).

The aircraft, scheduled to arrive in the Region at 7:55 am, attempted to approach the island without success, opting to head towards the neighboring archipelago, from where it departed at 10:40 am.

The flight [TP 1709] was rescheduled and managed to land in Madeira at 11:30 am.

There are, for now, no other diverted flights, nor cancellations to be recorded this morning.
