Despite there being very little quantity, the high peaks of Madeira, namely Pico do Areeiro and Pico Ruivo, have already recorded hail and a little snow yesterday, late afternoon.
The Pico do Areeiro station had already reached 0.2℃ thursday, which justifies the drop in temperature announced by the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) throughout the Region.
The IPMA also points out that this Friday there may be heavy rain accompanied by hail and thunderstorms.
