Plane that made a sudden landing in Madeira heads to Lisbon

The plane from the airline TAP, which last Tuesday made a bumpy landing at Madeira Cristiano Ronaldo International Airport, defying the strong wind that was felt in Santa Cruz, has already taken off from Funchal and is on its way to Lisbon, after having been subject to technical inspection, as DIÁRIO reported in this Wednesday’s print edition.

The Airbus A321 is heading towards Lisbon after having been on the airport apron for a day due to this landing, which was filmed and the subject of countless shares on social media.

As reported, the aircraft was not carrying passengers and would make another flight yesterday morning. The passengers boarded and the plane moved to the head of the runway to return to Lisbon, having however aborted the trip and returned to the Madeira Airport sign. It was then decided that it would have to undergo a technical inspection by the maintenance services before flying again, which ended up happening this morning.
