Afternoon competition is canceled.
The strong wind in São Vicente led to the cancellation of the afternoon competition of the São Vicente Cup tournament. The wind ended up knocking down some of the structures set up to support the competition, which takes place at the Estádio dos Juncos.
It was for security reasons that the organization decided to cancel the games scheduled for this Thursday afternoon, and is currently adjusting the game calendar.
“Due to adverse weather conditions, the afternoon part of the São Vicente Cup competition has been cancelled. The safety of our players, fans and everyone involved is our main priority, and as such, we cannot guarantee a safe environment for the practicing sports”, he says in a statement published on social media.
