“There is no agreement”, guarantees Mónica Freitas

PAN deputy contradicts Miguel Albuquerque, but assumes that her party will be available to make the Government Program and Regional Budget viable.

“If Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa understands that it is not justified to go to elections, we are available to take a responsible attitude”, admits Mónica Freitas.

The answer is firm. “There is no agreement” between PAN, CDS and PSD. This is what the People – Animals – Nature deputy guarantees in the Madeira Legislative Assembly, contradicting, in this way, the fact that Miguel Albuquerque has already designed a new ‘pact’ with the parties that, until January, supported the parliamentary majority.

A few hours before everyone sits at the table with Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, Mónica Freitas contradicts the words of the PSD-Madeira leader, although she assumes that, in the name of stability, the PAN will be available to make the Government Program and the Regional Budget viable .

And for Mónica Freitas, there is no obstacle if Miguel Albuquerque continues to lead the Government, with the previous withdrawal of support for the PSD-Madeira bench due to the judicial investigation falling apart.

“Given the fact that there were internal elections and that the PSD does not propose a replacement, what we consider is that there are no conditions for us to continue to provide a parliamentary majority, however, if Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa understands that If it is justified to go to elections, we are available to take a responsible attitude, but without any type of agreement or formal support”, she explained.
