Similar to what has been happening today in Porto Moniz, in Ponta Delgada some tourists have not respected the warnings issued by the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) regarding the sea, risking their own lives.
Some foreigners were seen on the pier, near the pools, waiting for the best wave. An “act of great irresponsibility”, in a place where a foreigner was already swept away by the waves, said a member of the public.
