Calheta City Council opened a magnificent photographic exhibition this afternoon that showcases the gardens of more than fifty residents. This is the “VII Garden Show – Calheta a Florir”, which is the result of a challenge launched by the Municipality within the scope of the Flower Festival. The objective of the initiative is not only to beautify the municipality, but also to promote creativity and value the talent and passion of residents in caring for their flowers.
Participation by residents has been notable and the exhibition has grown year after year, with 54 participants in this edition.
The Garden Exhibition will be on display until the middle of next month at Praceta 24 de Junho, a space that has been particularly stunning since the beginning of May, due to the decorations alluding to the Flower Festival.
Today, at the presentation of the exhibition, the acting mayor of Calheta, did not hide her satisfaction at seeing that more and more residents are motivated to contribute to the public image of the municipality. Doroteia Leça also took the opportunity to thank all participants for their daily commitment to this activity which, for many, is a passion and at the same time therapy.
In recognition, all elements received a certificate of participation and a flower from the Municipality.
