RIR president says Albuquerque “should be ashamed” and stay away

The president of Reacting Include Reciclar (RIR), Márcia Henriques, stated today that the resigning president of the Regional Government of Madeira and re-candidate for early elections by the PSD, Miguel Albuquerque, “should be ashamed” and step away from politics.

“Doctor Miguel Albuquerque, I’m sorry, but he shouldn’t be running, he should be ashamed and stay away from politics, people don’t want him anymore”, defended Márcia Henriques, speaking to journalists, as part of a visit to the neighborhood social network of Nogueira, in the municipality of Santa Cruz.

“And, therefore, give opportunities to new people, who have ideas, who want to do things differently, there is no need to be stuck in place, looks like a lapa”, she appealed.

The RIR candidacy, headed by Liana Reis, visited the Nogueira neighborhood this morning, at the request of some residents, to learn about the problems there.

In the end, Márcia Henriques said that she leaves the neighborhood “a little sad” with the social reality she witnessed, considering that politicians and those responsible for public positions have to go “to the places and find out what is going on, because in the offices they don’t solve problems “.

Taking stock of the visit to the autonomous region, which began on Wednesday, the RIR leader said she had witnessed a “Madeira of rich people and a Madeira of very poor people”.

“And these inequalities cannot be admitted in the year we are living in”, she stated, arguing that the responsibility of the president of the Regional Government (PSD/CDS-PP), the social democrat Miguel Albuquerque, in this matter “is great”.
