The regional secretary for Economy, Tourism and Culture, Eduardo Jesus, points out that 2024 is being “better than 2023” for the Tourism sector in Madeira, proof of which, he says, are the statistical data made public today that show the increase in the number of guests and overnight stays in the first six months of the year.
“Tourism’s contribution is being extraordinarily positive for the regional economy during 2024”, says the minister, guaranteeing the “affirmation” of the growth trend “seen in recent years” in the Region.
“More people are coming to Madeira, with more overnight stays in Madeira and staying longer in Madeira”, points out Eduardo Jesus, praising the “very promising strength” of foreign markets.
