  4. We also can’t wait to go back to Madeira. Our 3 week holiday in Madeira was cut short by a week when we took an earlier that planned flight home on 16th March. Your blog was invaluable in providing us with the information we needed to make that difficult decision. It also meant we weren’t scrabbling around trying to get a seat on the last planned flights out a few days later.
    But I must add your archive has saved us a lot of money. Our insurance company were going to deny our claim because the FCO advice not to travel globally was dated the 17th after our return. There was no way in the FCO website find the advice not to travel to Madeira issued on the 14th of March. The only place we could find it was on your blog archive, so thank you so very much for what you’ve been doing. I don’t think you could possibly realise how much stress you saved us and I’m sure so many other visitor in Madeira at the time.

    Situation here quiet and peaceful. I’m really impressed how friendly and relaxed most of the people still are and how almost everybody seems to follow the safety and security regulations to combat Corona!
    Cleaning everything everywhere in supermarkets etc. and still have time to help out a stranger looking for specific goods in the shelves… ??
    Tudo bem.. ?!
    OBRIGADO, MADEIRA!
