      1. It’s not too hard to find, presuming you have a car 🙂

        If you’re driving from Funchal straight over the island via RIbeiro Frio, just continue on the road downwards past Ribeiro Frio for 10 minutes or so until you come to where the road forks somewhat and take the left turn (er103 Faial). If you follow that same road all the way around then you will come to the tea house on the same road in 15 minutes or so.

        If you’re approaching from the motorway that goes round the island, then north a few minutes past Porto da Cruz you will see a restaurant on the right called Grutas do Faial. Straight after that there is a turning on the left for the aforementioned er103 road which will take you straight to the tea house.

        The whole area is really wonderful, almost reminiscent of south east asia. Anyway I hope that helps!

          1. You’re welcome. One option would be to take the bus to Porto da cruz and take a taxi from there for a much reduced rate. Hope you enjoy your trip 🙂
