Two micro-earthquakes recorded in the sea south of Funchal

Two low-intensity earthquakes were recorded this morning in the south of Madeira, just in front of Funchal, albeit at a relative distance, both measuring below 2.0 on the Richter scale.

These 1.9 and 1.8 microseisms occurred approximately two minutes apart, that is, the first occurred at 1:53 and 31 seconds and the other occurred at 1:55 and 1 second, both at a depth of 40 kilometers.

Normally, earthquakes of these magnitudes are not felt on land, but are recorded by seismographs.
