The Christmas lights have already been switched on in the municipality of Santa Cruz, with the festivities reaching the city center and many people coming to see the official start of the celebrations.
The president of the City Council, Élia Ascensão, opened the festivities, which today only have a program that began at 6:00 PM and will continue for the next few hours, at least as long as there are people around.
