A wildfire in the woods in Camacha, near the Carreiras/Vale Paraíso area, is currently mobilizing three fire brigades.
The alert was raised after 9 pm, and the resources of the Santa Cruz Fire Brigade were immediately activated, now receiving support from the Madeira Volunteer Firefighters and the Machico Municipal Firefighters.
The Public Security Police (PSP) are also present at the scene.
There are 17 men on the ground, supported by five vehicles.
