The Madeira International Fireworks Competition, part of the Atlantic Festival, kicks off tonight, with the first participating country being Canada, through the company Firemaster Productions Inc, at 10:30 pm.
The theme of the show will be ‘The Final Frontier’, which aims to be an unforgettable journey through the cosmos.
The aim of the competition is to win the ‘Atlantic Trophy’, which is awarded by a jury, and there is also the ‘Madeira Tão Tua’ trophy, which is decided by public vote. Voting can be done through ballot boxes located in the Plaza Madeira shopping center, at the Tourist Information Office of the Regional Directorate of Tourism on Avenida Arriaga, and on the night of each show at the Funchal Quay.
The results of the Madeira International Fireworks Competition will be announced on June 27th.
