Wishing all my readers a very Happy New Year. If your lucky enough to be in Madeira then I hope you enjoy the fireworks tonight. I believe there will be more fireworks at higher levels and not so many in the port area to try and reduce the smoke to make it better for passengers on the cruise ships to see.
If your waking up in Madeira its pretty wet out there but the rain should clear and leave a dry evening for the display, so fingers crossed.
11 cruise ships in port to see the fireworks, the ship Balmoral has a question mark over it but has reserved a place.
