The Single Automobile Document (DUA) will look like the citizen’s card from August 1 of this year. A “simplex” measure that facilitates handling and is easy to store in the wallet, collecting all the data that is now on the document that drivers usually have stored in the vehicles, pictured above.
The entry into force on 1 August applies first to new registrations and in 2020 to all vehicles in circulation.
According to information from the online eco, “in the first half of 2019 137,446 DUAs were issued throughout the country. By the end of the year 1.7 million documents are expected to be issued, with some 200,000 already presenting the new format. “
