Hurricane Gordon is now a Cat.1 hurricane and is moving east towards the Azores. The Portuguese government have upgraded the alert from tropical storm to hurricane and the eastern and central Islands have been put on alert as the hurricane approaches, and is expected to hit sometime tomorrow evening.
