The new 5 euro bank note goes into circulation on the 2nd May.
It will be the first of the new bank notes going into circulation, with others to follow in the coming years in increasing order of denomination. There are no dates as of yet for the other notes to be released.
The old 5 euros note will always be accepted, and will never lose it’s value, so the old and new can be used together.
