  1. One sees so much of this everywhere now despoiling to my mind beauty spots inItaly Portugal and Spain. I sincerely hope Funchal can stamp on it but let’s hope it doesn’t become a problem for the moment at beautiful island destination in the world.

  5. Hi Tobiwe just came back from 2 weeks break to the lovely island of Madeira, that’s our 4th and now would like to either buy or rent one day soon. I just hope that they catch these street graffiti mobs its unacceptable. They have cameras can they not track them down through that. Let’s hope they fine these culprits and warn them that if they are caught again they will face a prison sentence.

  6. Man , I lived in the the island until late 80s , that very same ocean front was my playground
    This have changed since then , but now more than ever before that area is NOT a beach by any stretch of imagination
    But again that’s not the point , like someone already mention , try to identify those bastards , make them pay for the cleanup ( or their parents ) then make them help clean the city streets when needed for free and under supervision of the local law enforcement
    Make then stand on the most pedestrian intersection with a sign saying ,,,,, I committed a vandalism by tagging the breakers ,,,,, IM GUILTY. ,,,,

    Or something within those lines , but whatever they make them do , make sure it applies to anyone that’s found guilty , do not let the well off , connected brats parents walk away from it
