NINETEEN HEALTH WORKERS QUARANTINED IN MADEIRA

The regional health secretary confirmed that there are almost 20 health professionals in quarantine.

Seven are doctors, nine are nurses and three are professionals from other areas.

  1. It feels like there is very little any of us can do right now to help the healthcare people other than staying at home but I know many of us would like to.
    I know in other places the doctors and nurses are running out of face masks.
    Could someone here please find out if this is the case here.
    If it is this is something some of us with sewing machines could make for them .
    I would be happy to help ” over the phone or internet ” anyone that would like to try.

  2. Madeira has a doctor shortage anyway without this. I hope everyone of these nineteen are negative and get better soon.
    I applaud all of these health workers for there dedication and professionalism in these tough times.

  3. The only thing people will understand if they get a huge fine of 500 euros if they exit the house without reason. All people should carry their ID cards or passport. Again, a fine for not having it.
