The reformulation of traffic in the Figueirinhas area, in Caniço, has already been completed, whose main purpose was to reorganize traffic circulation and improve road and people safety.
Comprised of the roundabout and two junctions, the work started in September 2019, represented an investment of around 800 thousand euros, plus VAT, which objectively reformulated the two junctions already there, the Estrada das Eiras and the João Gonçalves Zarco Road, with the Regional Road 204.
In what was a work under the responsibility of the Regional Governor, downstream, 20 parking lots were also created, in a contiguous area, in order to better serve the population.
I have to say this is a huge improvement to the traffic light system that was there before, and works 100% better.
