In view of the dimensions of the vehicles that participated in the already completed transport of blades and the generators to the Alecrim-Urze Wind Farm, in Paul da Serra, damage repair and maintenance interventions are currently being carried out by the project promoter. changes that had to be made along the route between Ribeira Brava and Paul da Serra.
An example of these repairs is that which is being carried out on the access road to Fonte do Bispo, in Prazeres, where all the necessary arrangements are being carried out. This work is expected to be completed by the end of next week. The roundabouts of VIAEXPRESSO targeted during this transport are also practically ready, with only the replacement of missing plants.
It is recalled that, given the dimensions of the vehicles, it was necessary, for this transport operation that took place for about three months, to remove and divert road signs, trees, power cables, among other possible obstacles, such as the creation of corridors in roundabouts and interventions also in landscaped areas.
After the conclusion of these operations, and as expected, the damages and transformations are being duly replaced in the exact conditions they were previously in by the project promoter.
For this operation of transporting blades and the generator to the Alecrim-Urze Wind Farm, which was carried out in several phases, the road concessionaires (Via Litoral and Via Expresso) and the Regional Government of Madeira, namely the Regional Secretariat, were heard Equipment and Infrastructure, through the Regional Roads Directorate.
