Madeira did not register any new cases of infection with the new coronavirus in the last 24 hours, according to the epidemiological bulletin released this Sunday by IASAÚDE.
Thus, the cumulative total of 158 confirmed cases remains in the Region, 40 of which are still active. Another 118 people have already been considered recovered.
Even so, IASAÚDE reports on three situations of travelers who are being studied by health authorities.
In relation to the transmission chain identified in the municipality of Funchal, with an association with two positive cases recently diagnosed in the context of the screening operation at Madeira airport, and whose epidemiological investigation made it possible to identify 15 contacts, the five people who were still waiting received negative results . In this chain of transmission, six positive and nine negative cases were thus identified, two of these were children under the age of 9.
