The Government Council meeting yesterday decided to authorize the extension of the calamity situation in Madeira, which is due to finish on 31 August.
In this sense, a new resolution
was approved which, in the wake of the
epidemiological situation of COVID- 19,
declares the situation of calamity throughout the territory of the Autonomous Region of
Madeira, in order to promote the
containment of the pandemic COVID- 19, and prevent the contagion and spread of the disease, says a statement.
All restrictions will stay in place for the month of September, wearing of masks, social distancing, testing at the airport and so on.
