There seem to be a lot of property scams about, and this is worldwide.
Madeira is no different, so I advise anyone looking for property to not transfer any money and check properly first. I guess this is for long-term and holiday rentals.
A Facebook friend on the island had put this message, and some help has saved him being scammed.
