IASAÚDE revealed this Thursday that it registered another case of covid-19 in Madeira during the last 24 hours. The number of active cases thus rises to 43.
This is an imported case, coming from the Netherlands, according to the report sent to the newsrooms later this afternoon to inform about the state of the epidemiological situation in the Region.
According to the same statement, the total of 124 recovered cases of COVID-19 remains.
Of the 43 active cases, 31 are imported and were identified in the context of the surveillance activities implemented at Madeira Airport. The number of cases of local transmission remains at 12.
“Regarding the isolation of positive cases, 22 people are isolated in a dedicated hotel unit and 21 in their own accommodation”, it is also read in the report, in which it is stated that “since yesterday, there are no new situations being studied by RAM health authorities”.
