COVID-19: VENEZUELAN IN INTENSIVE CARE WITH FAN SUPPORT

He is one of four people who are hospitalized in the Multipurpose Unit dedicated to Covid-19 of the Dr. Nélio Mendonça Hospital. He is, at this moment, the most serious case in Covid-19, with the remaining three people remaining in that unit, but all stable and without resorting to fans.

The user is hospitalized after having tested positive as a case imported from Venezuela on the 15th. The man arrived from that country not long ago, performed the test on arrival in Madeira, in the context of the surveillance activities implemented at Madeira Airport – Cristiano Ronaldo. The test was initially negative, but days later the man began to experience symptoms of the disease and was tested again on a second trip to the hospital.

This time, the result turned out to be positive, ending up being admitted to the multi-purpose unit of Covid-19, although still without the support of the fan, but already in a framework of some seriousness. Unfortunately, on Wednesday afternoon, the 18th, the health situation at the respiratory level worsened and the patient ended up having to move to a bed in the Intensive Care Unit, remaining in a critical condition and now breathing using only the fan.
