Today there are 7 new positive cases to report, all of which are locally transmitted, mostly associated with contacts of previously identified positive cases. The contacts of three of these cases are still under investigation.
Three cases concern a teacher and two children (aged 11 to 15 years) who attend two educational establishments in the municipalities of Funchal and one in the municipality of Santa Cruz, whose contingency plans are active.
One case concerns a security forces professional.
There are 7 more recovered cases, and 100 suspected cases under study.
