Madeira records today, December 6, 23 new cases of covid-19, of which six are imported and 17 are locally transmitted.
Among the confirmed cases today, there are four cases of children, three of whom attend educational establishments in the municipalities of Funchal and Machico. And there are also two cases in adults, health professionals, working at SESARAM, EPERAM. In both cases, the contingency plans for these services are active and epidemiological investigations are ongoing.
This Sunday there are six imported cases (2 from the United Kingdom, 2 from the Lisbon and Tagus Valley Region and 2 from the Northern Region of Portugal) and there are 11 more recovered cases to report, with 242 now active cases of infection.
