There is a missing foreign citizen in the Rabaçal area, in Calheta. Searches are currently being carried out with a total of 23 members, which are divided into three different tracks, in order to maximize operations.
Jacinto Serrão, commander of the Voluntary Firefighters of Calheta, told the Diário that the alert was given by the tourist himself, who is believed to be of German nationality, to a friend at around 2 pm, but that same friend only later informed the competent authorities.
On site, in addition to elements of the corporation, the operations rely on elements from the PSP, namely using two dogs from the kinotechnical teams, and elements from the Forest Police.
