Four patients and two nurses tested positive for covid in the hospitals of Marmeleiros and João de Almada.
For this reason, the Regional Health Service of Madeira has banned visits to these units for 10 days, with IA Saúde having to test hundreds of professionals, users and family members who over the past week had direct or indirect contact with those infected.
It is recalled that the first case of infection detected in the ‘Marmeleiros’ led to the transfer of the patient to the Hospital dr. Nélio Mendonça, where she would later have died. Then there were two more infected, one of whom was a nurse.
Today two cases of infected patients have been detected, in addition to a third, a nurse at Hospital dos Marmeleiros.
