Many families took advantage of Saturday to go and see the snow that covers the mountains of Madeira in white.
So many, that the traffic is already congested from the Montado do Barreiro, as shown in the photo.
As Diário has already reported, circulation on mountain roads is not recommended for safety reasons. For this reason, Civil Protection keeps ER 202 closed – between Poiso and Pico do Areeiro ER 203, Estrada das Carreiras, between Montado do Pereiro and Poiso, as well as ER 218 – Between Pico das Pedras and Teixeira’s find, all due to snowfall.
