Following the registration of the number of cases that put the municipality at high risk, the Regional Secretariat for Education, Science and Technology decided to temporarily close the Basic and Secondary School with Pre-school and Creche do Porto Moniz.
As it was possible to ascertain, and following the example of what happened in the municipalities of Funchal, Câmara de Lobos, Ribeira Brava and Porto Santo, teachers and other employees of the school will be subject to rapid tests, to be scheduled by the health authorities.
