The rain that falls with great intensity caused high damages in at least two cars, in the site of Maroços, in Machico.
A secondary watercourse blocked and overflowed, dragging the vehicles. On site are the Municipal Firemen of Machico, the Municipal Civil Protection Service, PSP and the operational service of the Municipal Council of Machico which, using heavy machinery, will clear the road.
The coordinator of the Municipal Civil Protection Service, Márcio Gouveia, asks the population not to go to the Ribeira Grande area, using alternative routes.
