The storm that hit the archipelago in the last few days was felt with greater intensity in several locations located in the north of the island of Madeira. There were moments of shock, with rain and wind promising not to give up anytime soon.

These images were captured this morning in the high areas of the parish of Faial and São Roque do Faial, in the municipality of Santana.

Cleaning and clearing of rocks and trees will carry on through the weekend, especially in the high areas and along the whole of the North coast.

More rain and wind is still expected over the weekend, and there will many more falling trees, landslides and falling rocks.
