It is confirmed: there are no victims, nor significant material damage resulting from the collapse that last night blocked the road that connects Jardim do Mar to Estreito da Calheta (ER223).
The rock’s and debris, which led to the closure of that road, is large. It is estimated to occupy an extension between 100 to 150 meters.
As the DIÁRIO advanced, this Wednesday morning (January 20th) the cleaning work will start, although the president of the local parish council does not know how long this will take.
At this time, the alternative access is through Paul do Mar.
