There are 46 new cases to report this Sunday in Madeira. These are two cases imported from the Lisbon and Vale do Tejo Region and 44 cases of local transmission, most of which are already associated with positive case contacts.
With 96 more cases recovered to mark the archipelago, 1,296 active cases now count, of which 22 are imported cases and 1,274 are of local transmission.
Regarding the isolation of active cases, it should be noted that 46 people are hospitalized at Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça (41 people in Multipurpose Units and five in the Intensive Care Unit dedicated to Covid-19) and 24 people are isolated in a dedicated hotel unit, the rest remaining in their own accommodation.
