There are 60 new positive cases to report this Sunday in Madeira. There are 58 cases of local transmission, most of which are already associated with positive case contacts, the remaining two cases being imported (one from Spain and the other from the Lisbon and Vale do Tejo region).
Today there are also 58 more recovered cases to report, so the Region counts 1,632 active cases, of which 43 are imported cases and 1,589 are locally transmitted.
Regarding the isolation of active cases, it should be noted that 49 people are hospitalized at Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça (45 people in Multipurpose Units and 4 in the Intensive Care Unit dedicated to Covid-19) and 34 people are in isolation in a dedicated hotel unit, the rest remaining in their own accommodation.
