88 new cases and 3 more deaths.

The Regional Health Directorate informs that, today, there are 88 new positive cases to report, so Madeira now counts 5974 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the regional territory. There are 88 cases of local transmission, most of which are already associated with positive case contacts. Epidemiological investigations are still ongoing.

There are also, according to the epidemiological bulletin, 138 more recovered cases to report. A total of 4160 cases are now recovered.

Madeira also registered three deaths, one of them from a patient from the mainland. We count, to date, a total of 57 deaths associated with Covid-19.

Regarding the isolation of these active cases, it should be noted that 61 people are hospitalized at Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça (55 people in Multipurpose Units and 6 in the Intensive Care Unit dedicated to Covid-19) and 38 people are in isolation in a dedicated hotel unit, the rest remaining in their own accommodation.

In addition to the death of a patient from the mainland, the Regional Health Directorate reports that the other 2 patients, who arrived on 01/30/2021, remain hospitalized, 1 in the Intensive Care Unit and 1 in the Multipurpose Unit.
