According to the Regional Health Directorate, Madeira today registers 43 more cases of covid-19. The Region now counts 7,613 confirmed cases of covid-19.
These are three imported cases (two from the Czech Republic and one from the Lisbon and Tagus Valley Region) and 40 cases of local transmission, most of which are already associated with positive case contacts.
There are now 30 more recovered cases to report. RAM now accounts for 6,755 recovered cases of covid-19.
At the moment there are 792 active cases, of which 20 are imported cases and 772 are locally transmitted.
Regarding the isolation of active cases, it should be noted that 46 people are hospitalized at Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça (39 people in Multipurpose Units and 7 in the Intensive Care Unit dedicated to covid-19) and 15 people are in isolation in a dedicated hotel unit, the rest remaining in their own accommodation.
There are still 170 situations under study by health authorities.
