MADEIRA SHOULD RECEIVE VACCINE FROM JOHNSON & JOHNSON BY JUNE

The regional secretary of Health, Pedro Ramos, announced this morning during the vaccination campaign against covid-19 in Porto Santo, that the expectation is that by June the Region will receive “many more vaccines” in relation to those that arrived in the first quarter of this year.

“In April alone, we will have more vaccines than we received in the first quarter,” guaranteed the secretary, who maintained that 59 thousand vaccines arrive in Madeira this month.

Pedro Ramos also said that the Region is waiting to know what percentage of Johnson & Johnson’s vaccines it will receive, with the arrival of the first batch scheduled for “the end of the second quarter of this year”.

Today, 425 people are vaccinated in Porto Santo, of which 87 refer to second doses.

After this phase, 1,160 people are vaccinated, with 15% of the population of Porto Santo already with the first dose.
