  1. They need to look at the income tax as on my UK income paid £144 and now on the same income paying €1,700 here.

  2. There are too many things to check, we moved here from the mainland and were shocked at the difference in prices, we have decided to move back to Portugal based on cost and many other things. The island has to cope with everything being shipped which jacks up costs. The islanders also have to cope with paying similar prices to tourists for many things including eating or going to bars etc.

  3. Not where we go,we don’t!!! But yes it costs more than mainland due to shipping,the more frustrating thing is waiting for your order to arrive and regardless of the point you ask on the journey, its always 12 weeks, the time line never comes down.
