No warnings for this morning, but rain has swept across the island, with heavy rain here now in Caniço. Tomorrow will still be the worse day ending November very wet indeed.
The yellow warning for tomorrow has been extended slightly, and I still think this could be raised to orange before tomorrow.
The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) updated the forecast of heavy rain for the island of Madeira, therefore increasing the period of validity of the yellow warning in force until tomorrow, Thursday.
According to the forecast, there will be “periods of rain or showers, sometimes heavy and accompanied by thunderstorms” between 3 am on Thursday and 3 pm on the same day, instead of the previous forecast that predicted the beginning of this period of greatest alert between 6:00 am and 3:00 pm.
