In addition to confirming the yellow warning for heavy rain that was forecast and had been updated this morning for the period from 3 am to 3 pm tomorrow, the IPMA has just placed Madeira under yellow warning from this morning until 6 pm.
In other words, in the next approximately 18 hours, both the south coast of the island of Madeira and the mountainous regions will be under yellow warning with a forecast of “periods of rain, sometimes heavy”.
According to IPMA, the north coast of the island will have rain, but unlike the two regions mentioned, without a yellow warning.
Yellow warning rain levels have already been reached in some areas.
