I am writing to share a nice story from today. On our walk up to the pool we could hear echoing barking. We looked into the mountain water outlet channel and saw a panicked dog trapped there. It was trying to make its way through the canal but some of the drops were too high for it to scale. We asked the Renault dealer to call it in and waited. Eventually we flagged down some city worker but after standing looking for 10 minutes they said the dog knew how to get out. What???
At lunch my wife hit all the municipal contacts. On the way back down a fire truck showed up. These guys managed to call in the volunteer fireman who showed up very quickly, scaled the wall, snagged the dog, and brought it back to safety. Fantastic work!
The guys in the picture (above) wearing red are the ones who came to save the day.
